MANY HATS BY LOOM & LOGIC

Terms of Use

Review before public promotion. These draft terms include the owner's approved directions. Final adoption and publication still require explicit approval after the remaining processing and incorporation checks. Many Hats is currently operated by the individual named below.

About the service and operator

Many Hats by Loom & Logic is an ordinary task-management service operated by Aron Edward Owen, trading as Loom Logic, based at 1 Plas Dyffryn, Parc y Bryn, Aberystwyth, SY23 2DL. Contact: aron.e.owen@gmail.com. No registered-company status or company number is asserted.

Many Hats lets you create separate hats and organise tasks in three fixed columns: To Do, In-Progress and Done. Tasks have a title and an optional plain-text note. Many Hats is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, payment obligations or paid features.

Your account

Google is the sign-in provider. Use an account you are authorised to use, protect access to that Google account and sign out on shared devices. Your workspace belongs to your signed-in account; shared boards and collaboration are not provided. Tell the operator if you suspect unauthorised access.

Many Hats is intended for users aged 16 and over. This includes 16- and 17-year-olds; the operator's responsibilities towards younger users are not removed by stating a minimum age. No identity-document collection or intrusive age-verification process is introduced. If you are under 16, do not create an account; contact the operator if you need help removing information.

Suitable content and acceptable use

Many Hats is intended for ordinary task management. Do not store passwords, confidential business material or sensitive personal information. It is not a password manager or a suitable store for medical records, financial-account details, identity documents or other high-risk information.

  • Only enter content you are entitled to use and store. Respect other people’s privacy and intellectual-property rights.
  • Do not use the service for unlawful activity, harassment, harmful content or attempts to interfere with other users.
  • Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access another person’s data, exploit security weaknesses or disrupt the service.
  • Do not deliberately overload the service, circumvent reasonable technical limits or use it to distribute malicious software.

Your tasks and notes

You remain responsible for what you enter and for keeping any separate record you need. Many Hats must store and process that content to operate your workspace, as described in the Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your content. It is processed to run your workspace, without a grant of unrelated advertising or model-training rights.

Hat and task deletion removes those items from the live application. Deleting a hat also deletes its tasks. Account deletion removes your live account and workspace after confirmation. These actions cannot be undone through the normal interface. Backup and recovery copies are addressed in the Privacy Policy and may remain after live deletion.

Availability and changes

Availability depends on the application, Google authentication and Cloudflare infrastructure, including service limits. Interruptions, maintenance, errors or provider limits may prevent access or saving changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a response-time target or a recovery-time guarantee. Keep a separate record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Material changes will be communicated in advance where reasonably practical, using appropriate direct notice to affected account holders. Minor corrections may be published directly with an updated date. Urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner when justified, with an explanation as soon as practical. You can stop using the service and delete your account if you do not wish to continue under changed terms. Mandatory rights are preserved.

Misuse, suspension and review

The operator trading as Loom Logic may proportionately restrict or terminate an account in response to serious misuse, a security threat or a material violation of these terms. The response should take account of the nature and seriousness of the issue. Where reasonably practical, we will explain the reason and give an opportunity to resolve it; urgent protective or legally required action may be taken first. Information may be withheld where necessary for security, another person's privacy or legal requirements.

If you are affected, contact aron.e.owen@gmail.com to challenge the decision and request a review. The operator will consider the information you provide. This is a manual contact process; there is no automated banning or moderation dashboard. Your applicable privacy and consumer rights remain available.

Responsibility and applicable law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory statutory and consumer rights are preserved. The fact the service is free does not create a blanket exclusion of responsibility.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without depriving consumers elsewhere of mandatory protections available under the law that applies to them. Nothing requires a consumer to use a distant court or gives up any right to bring proceedings in the courts where they live when applicable law provides that right. You can contact the operator to try to resolve a dispute; this does not prevent you seeking a remedy available by law.

Before public promotion

Final publication remains on hold pending the remaining provider, processing and incorporation checks and the owner's explicit approval. A future limited company is not yet the operator or controller. Any transition will be documented and relevant changes communicated; no company name, number or registered office is invented here. For questions, contact aron.e.owen@gmail.com.
